I agree, this movie shows what dancers go through today to try to make it and be perfect. With this movies again the graphics make it better because you actually feel and believe she is turning into a swan.
ReplyDeleteIts pretty crazy what dancers go through now of days and how it was able to be shown in a movie forum. just looking in to the lives of the dancers and what they go through on a everyday basics is sometimes hard to watch. also with the ability to use graphs to make it look like she was turning into a swan makes the movie even more real life.
ReplyDeleteThis movie really can be seen to depict a sort of "hell" for a dancer. By this I mean Natalie Portman's clear psychosis that shows from beginning to end, making you wonder: what in the movie was real and what was just a figment of her warped imagination? Some even wonder if her mother was even real, which shows how twisted some dancers have to become in order to survive in the industry.
ReplyDeleteIt takes a lot to be a ballet dancer. if you placed yourself in Natalie Portmn's role, you can understand and embrace the depition of her transforming into a swan.
ReplyDeleteThis shows what dancers go through. But is this how they see their passion? As something so horrible? I haven't seen the whole movie, but from what you said, it seems like it's something very difficult to master and keep doing.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely in love with this movie. It is very interesting and captivating, as well as scary and impressive. For some reason, after watching this movie, I could not help thinking about one of the most vivid impression of my childhood is the Scream, Edvard Munch’s famous painting; its reproduction fiercely hung in my living room. There was something primitive and frightening in it. However, fierceness and fear make things extremely entrancing. Since then, this painting and I have been connected by some metaphysical force. When I look at it, my soul seems to alter. The Scream pours movement. It is painted with a massive force, producing an authentic expression of an agitated mind. There stands a man for whom God is dead. From a contemporary perspective, this abstract figure can be recognized as the actual mental image of the anxiety of a civilized man awaiting his future. The Scream was created in 1893 when humanity expected to enter the 20th century. The same feeling I have gotten after watching Black Swan with brilliant Natalie Portman as the main actress.
