Monster Inc.

Monster Inc. is about monsters who go through doors and scare little children as there job. Two particuar monsters didn't have it so easy. When the one monster goes through one particular door the child escapes and they do all they can to get her back through the door without someone getting hurt and getting caught.

For the monsters to scare the little kids they have to go through doors. Theres certain monsters that work the machines to bring the "scaring monsters" a door so they can walk through it and scare the little children to collect screams for their company. To get a certain door they have a file for a certain child and then they swipe a card and the conveyor belt of doors continue through till the door comes to their station and a big claw rises up and grabs the door.

  1. With this movie being a cartoon there was a lot that went into making this movie. With the science and technology we have today it is possible to put a great cartoon movie together with good quality picture and sound with animation and more. Movies in the past did not have all of these affects.

  2. I can remember seeing this movie for the first time and i still enjoy watching it today. it was such a technology advance video due to the fact it was all animated and the amount of work that was put into it. also begin one of the first movies using such technology made it just that much more amazing that it was made. this was the stepping stone for most movies today.

  3. Great post Christina. I loved this movie. It’s one of those films that if I catch it on TV, I just get sucked in and have to watch it. The technology involved to make this CGI film is incredible. Most of the computers used to make this film were Sun Microsystems. It took a farm of over 250 Sun Enterprise Servers, each with 14 microprocessors and 14 GB of RAM, to bring the Pixar characters to life. The rendering of the lighting, textures, and shading as well as the 3D characters is a process that takes a long time and is very computationally intensive task. Pixar shows what a creative staff armed with cutting edge technology can produce.

  4. I loved this movie. It shows kids how not to be scared of monsters. It shows the monsters' point of view, and how they're also scared of the children. I think it was cute how they put it out there.
